The Story Behind FuNn Interactive

FuNn Interactive began with a simple entrepreneurial dream—to create original games and characters that inspire learning, creativity, and fun for children and families.

For more than 14 years, that dream has grown into original games, memorable characters, and interactive adventures designed to entertain, inspire imagination, and encourage learning through play.

My professional background is in information technology, where I've spent years managing networks, Wi-Fi systems, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud services, and leading technical teams. While I've always enjoyed solving complex problems, the role that has shaped me most has been being a father.

I have three older children who have grown into thriving young adults and a youngest son who inspired an entirely new chapter in my creative journey.

Outside of my career, I spent countless hours teaching myself game development using Apple's development tools. Much of what became FuNn Interactive was built in the margins of everyday life—at coffee shops, bookstores, in my car between responsibilities, and late at night after my children had gone to bed. Those quiet hours became the foundation for everything I'm building today.

More than 14 years ago, I began developing Spell Crush Word, a word puzzle game designed to entertain while helping players strengthen vocabulary, spelling, and problem-solving skills. It became the foundation for many of the ideas, mechanics, and characters that would follow.

Years later, I conceived the idea for Gemorize, a memory-based puzzle game built around pattern recognition, observation, and cognitive challenges. Like many independent projects, it evolved over time before finally becoming a reality after years of refinement and persistence.

As the projects grew, so did the cast of original characters that inhabit the FuNn Interactive universe—characters designed to bring personality, adventure, and imagination into every experience.

Then life shifted once again.

When my youngest son began experiencing speech and language delays, I started thinking about how I could use everything I had learned from creating games to build something specifically for him.

He thrived on interactive learning—tapping, exploring, and engaging with colorful visual worlds. Inspired by the way he learned, I adapted many of the concepts I had developed over the years into a new experience featuring large 3D letters, phonics pronunciation, spoken words, positive reinforcement, and interactive gameplay.

That project became Crush ABC Adventure.

Created first for my son, Crush ABC Adventure was designed to help young children learn letters, sounds, phonics, and early literacy skills through exploration, encouragement, and play. My hope is that it can help other children and families on their learning journeys as well.

Today, FuNn Interactive continues to grow through games, characters, stories, and merchandise inspired by those experiences. Characters such as CruSh, FiNn, Jaydee, and their friends are part of a growing universe built around adventure, imagination, creativity, and discovery.

The FuNn Character Shop extends that universe beyond the screen, bringing these original characters to life through products created with children in mind—bright, friendly, sensory-conscious, and designed to celebrate curiosity and imagination.

FuNn Interactive is more than a collection of games or merchandise. It's a father-built creative studio dedicated to creating original characters and adventures that entertain, inspire imagination, and encourage learning through play.
